Prayer: Not Enough Time for Pre-Fard Sunna

If one reaches the mosques just as the jamaa’ah for zuhr fard has started or is about to start leaving one with no time to perform the four raka’ah of sunna should one perform these after the fard. If so does one perform the four missed raka’ah before or after the two raka’ah.

Walaikum assalam,

It would remain a confirmed sunna to perform the four pre-fard rakats. One should perform them after the fard, and then the 2 post-fard rakats. [Radd al-Muhtar]

And Allah alone gives success.
