Seeing blood in one’s mucus after performing wudhu

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: After I finished wudu, I blew my nose and I saw blood in my mucus. I blew my nose a few times until there was no blood. Is my wudu fine?

Bismillaah

A: If the blood was flowing then this breaks the wudhu.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

Q: The blood wasnt flowing as in it didn’t run out of my nose. I only saw the blood by inserting a tissue into my nose. Is this ok?

Bismillaah

A: If the amount of blood on the tissue is not an amount that will normally flow out by itself then the wudhu will not break.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
