The wording of the Hadith as appears in Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim is as follows:
الأنصار لا يحبهم إلا مؤمن، ولا يبغضهم إلا منافق، فمن أحبهم أحبه الله، ومن أبغضهم أبغضه الله
Sayyiduna Bara ibn ‘Azib (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reported that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Only a believer loves the Ansar and only a hypocrite despises them. So whomsoever loves them, Allah will love him and whomsoever despises them, Allah despises him.”
