Feeding rice and chicken as kaffarah

A year ago I paid expiation for some broken vows.

For expiation, I fed poor students of madrasa two meals ( I gave the food to them).

I did not give them wheat or barley, instead, I gave them cooked rice, chicken(normal dinner or lunch people generally eat).

Is my expiation valid?

Giving wheat or barley is what the ahadith originally stated, however giving the value of it or basically feeding the poor will suffice.

Therefore, it is permissible to provide food to the Madrasah students as part of the kaffarah as long as they were poor students.[1]

And Allah SWT alone knows best.
