Could you please explain the following hadith in ABU-DAWOOD sharief; on the authority of abu Hurarieh that a man came and asked about touching his body with his wife and Prophet (P.B.U.H) allowed. Then a second man came and asked the same question and Prophet (P.B.U.H) stopped him. On the inquiry of companions Prophet (P.B.U.H) replied that the first was an old man and the second was young. (To the nearest meaning).
Answer
If a person can control his desires , then he may hug and kiss his wife
during fasting. If he fears that that may lead him too being intimate with
his wife then it is prohibited for him to do so.
