Mistakenly causing harm to someone

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: If I mistakenly, unintentionally or forgetfully done something wrong to someone, something or myself will that count as a sin?

Bismillaah

A: If it is unintentional it will not be counted as a sin provided it was not done out of negligence and thoughtlessness. However, you should try to compensate for this wrong in some reasonable manner.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
