Spending one one’s family on the 10th of Muharram

Q: Please advise what is the Islamic ruling on spending on family and friends in muharram. Is it permissible and likeable in Islam. Is it just on the 10th or the whole month?

Bismillaah

A: It is Sunnah to feed one’s family and spend on them on the 10th of Muharram.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
