Is it haram to ride on elephants?

Somebody said it is haram to ride on elephants. Please elaborate the answer.

Answer:

(Fatwa: 1250/756/L=1433)

It is lawful and halal to ride elephant. It is not haram. Whoever said that riding elephant is haram he is wrong.
