Q: I suffer from extreme ocd. My family is not very well versed in the taharat (cleanliness) issue. My brother been blessed with a baby boy. Sometimes he drinks milk and after some time he throws it back.Is that voimit? Also is vomit impure? I told my sister in law to wash his clothes. She told me that the baby throws or vomits every day and she can’t change and wash his clothes etc. It gives me hard time as well. I heard that Maliki fiqh doesn’t consider vomit impure. Can I follow Maliki fiqh? Otherwise I follow Hanafi fiqh.
A: If the baby vormits a mouthful it will be najis, however this would only affect a person you if you wish to read salaat in the clothes that has been soiled with this vormit or you wish to read salaat in an area that has been soiled with the vormit. Other than that it would not affect you.
