Salams please answer my 3 questions

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

Salam. Mufti Sahab Please answer my questions.I would like to know the reason behind why the valentine’s day is celebrated and why is it haraam for Muslims to celebrate it? Please explain in depth. And When should Salat-ulTasbeeh performed? Should it be prayed after the prayers like after Isha or after Fajr? Iwould like to know that if a particular cloth has a black magic on it, do the other clothes kept along with that piece, will they be affected? Can we use the other clothes? And what should we do to other clothes, as a precaution? JazakAllah khairan?.please reply soon! Wassalam

Answer

Card with hearts and sweet poems, chocolates, flowers given to someone you
love and images of winged cupids shooting arrows mark St. Valentine’s Day
celebrations. “Be my Valentine” is a phrase that conjures up many different
images associated with the celebration of Valentine’s Day.
For young and old, February 14 is a day to express their affection to their
sweethearts. In the past this was a holiday for Christians to remember and
to celebrate the life and death of a martyr, St. Valentine. He was a priest
who lived near Rome
around 270 AD. Excerpts from: Sunday Tribune Herald 6/02/2000

It is quite evident from the above excerpt that Valentine’s day has its
origination and significance in the sacrifices of a Christian personality.
This in itself will quite clearly illustrate to any Muslim with even an iota
of Imaan how repugnant and against the spirit of Islam any involvement or
recognition of such a day is. It has always been the Christian and Jewish
aim to get Muslims to forfeit their identity and take to heart un-Islamic
practices, as elaborated in the words of Allah, “The Christians and Jews
will never be happy with you until you follow their ways.” (Baqarah 120)
The Islaamic viewpoint and reaction to such practices is clearly and
unequivocally outlined in the following Aayat, “O Believers do not take as
friends the Christians and Jews . he amongst you who will adopt closeness
and friendship with them is of them (and not of us Muslims)” (Maaidah 51)
Aligning ourselves with their occasions of celebration will fall well within
the purview of the warning contained in the above Aayat. Consider the grave
warning given to us by none other than our Noble Master Himself Sallallaahu
Alayhi Wasallam, “He who will imitate a nation will be raised up amongst
them on the Day of Qiyaamat.” (Mishkaat)
May Allah Ta’ala give us all the Tawfeeq and guidance to recognise all the
media attention and advertisement surrounding this occasion for the Shaytaan
plot that it in fact is and may He enable us to shun such practices, Aameen.
