This is regarding marriages in India. In India there is a tradition of giving furniture and other thing by the parents of the girl. I want to ask is it permissible to take all such things in Islam. Even if boy does not ask for these things they will give. Is it right to take or are there any restrictions in Islam.

i have two questions 1. Copying a Quran CD without asking the manufacturer is it allowed on of my friend told that it is the word of Allah and we don’t have to seek the permission from the CD Manufacturer is it allowed 2.who so ever uses 786 with the intention to obtain Allah’s blessings, is a misguided person and any attempt to justify it, is ignorance. I’m 20 years old. Medically speaking, I have a weak sexual drive, along with other related problems. I’d like to get married sometime in the future, but I greatly fear that I won’t be able to sexually satisfy my wife, because of my condition. I’m a man and I have my own (physical) needs, but I don’t want my needs getting fulfilled at the expense of others. Is it still advisable for me to get married or should I remain single the rest of my life?

My brother works in an American bank but his work is not directly related to any loan or interest related transactions. His area of work focuses on strategic marketing of credit card related products for the bank, such as determining late fees (not interest) to be charged, etc. He is inviting me to stay at his house and obviously that would include eating at his place. I would like to know if it is halal to eat at his place considering that he is a bank employee. A quick response will be greatly appreciated.

I have heard that the students of sulook practice zikr that strengthens their LATAIF. something like nafs, qalb, rooh, sirr, akhfa, khafee. I want to know how true this is. Why do the saliks do this. What is the sign that they are strengthened. What purpose do these lataif serve in obeying Allah?

I was impressed by your teachings and respected Maulana Tariq Jameel. Did (niqab) for six months. I however have chronic sinus trouble on account of a congenital defect in the hard palate of inside of my mouth. That has also been the cause of my chronic ear infections and so forth which actually led me to undergo several bilateral ear surgeries and now I have to wear hearing aids in both my ears or else I am practically deaf. Anyway my question is that when I started doing niqab infections again started in my sinuses and finally it took over 2 months for it to resolve fully with treatment. Then I started cutting a slit in the niqab to keep the flow of air between the nose and the outside without a barrier. With cutting a slit the cloth of the niqab has to adhere closely to the face for the slit to remain open. On doing so if and when I have to clear my nose i have to keep pulling the niqab down and it gets out of place and finally the entire setup of niqab to stay in place gets disturbed in public what I mean is it gets too disorderly and looks very shabby. Now I am not doing niqab but I cover my head fully with no makeup and also wear dark glasses when possible and also my dress is always black for the most part and extremely loose. kindly advise regarding niqab?

About 2 years ago I had very severe problems with doubts in taharah and salat. AlhamduLillah, these times are far away, and I feel myself much more comfortable. But unfortunately now I suffer from some new doubts which appeared recently. The first problem is regarding materials which doesn’t penetrate water. Before wudhu I’m in doubt whether there are some of them on my heels and near nails. For example, if I have few yarns stuck to my heels, I don’t know whether they are synthetic ones (which don’t penetrate water) or not. Because there are just a few yarns, I can’t advocate whether they penetrate water or not. Also sometimes I find hair stuck to my nails or heels, and again I’m in doubt whether it penetrates water or not. Also if I have some dirt, I’m also in doubt whether it contains some small amount of water-not-penetrating materials. So, my wudhu becomes quite a long procedure, where I try to look at my heels and nails thoroughly trying to remove all the dirt, yarns, stuck pieces of hair. The second problem is in washing my face. I know that we can’t wash one limb with water which was used for washing another limb. So the doubt is as follows: if washing the face my palms will touch hair, I start to think, that on my hands there is water which was used washing my hair, not the face, so I wash my hands, and continue washing the face with new water. The other problem is that I don’t know what part of eyes should I wash – I understand that we don’t need to wash eyes themselves, but what’s about the red area which is near roots of eyelashes (above, under, right and left to eyes)?
