Is beard fist length a deobandi-hanafi fatwa ?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by ShariahBoard.org
Is keeping a beard fist length a deobandi-hanafi fatwa? My parents and friends want to me trim my beard even tough is not fist length. They say that it will look nice and Shariah demands us took look nice. I stay quiet and not argue with them nor do I give into their demands. A lot good hearted youths that I know have trimmed their beards because they came under the influence of anti-Hanafi, anti-Indo Pak Ulama, anti-Tablighi Jamaat thinkers and scholars who told them that fist length beard ruling is only a deobandi fatwa. Please guide me in this matter.
The beard should be one fist length. Anything less than that is considered ugliness as the habit of people has been found these days. So, to them doing this is a sign of good looking when it’s equivalent to mutilating and changing the creation of Allah .s.w. so, however we mould our selves that is what we become. That’s why some people think not having it means good looking whereas other people think have it is a sign of good looking. One fist beard is the sign of beauty in Shariah, which is designated by Shariah. This is not just school of thought of Deobandi’s but a universal opinion. Scholars of all time from all places have said this.
