Will I be sinful for not praying in Masjid

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by ShariahBoard.org
Is praying salaat in the masjid by jamaat a waajib or is it sunnat-e-muakkeda, is there a difference of opinion among fuqaha on this issue. I live 2.7 miles away from masjid and it takes me about 6 to 7 minutes to reach there. I know that there is a lot of sawaab in praying in the masjid but will I be sinful if I don’t pray in the masjid. What is the fatwa in my case.
This is what the scholars have said that the congregation is mandatory. This is why one should try to make it as much as possible. If one cannot reach it then one would be considered sinful. If one prays at home the prayer will be accepted. There are many excuses for which a prayer in congregation can be forgiven. For instance, heavy rain, bad whether, mosques are real far away, and a person is busy in tending to sick person at home etc. a person should try to pray still at the mosque as best as possible or else he would be held accountable. There is some difference in the opinions of the scholars but this opinion is dominant.
