My cousin (Sunni Muslim) in Pakistan is working in company and his colleague (a Shia girl) both want to marry each other. But my cousin’s family doesn’t agree with this marriage. The girl says she will convert to Sunni to marry him. But the girl’s family will still remain Shia and the girl doesn’t want break the relationship with her family. But you know the aftermath of this marriage. What will be the effect on their children having both religion (Sunni and Shia)?

You may be aware of the 401K retirement investments in USA. From these investments of mine, I can take a loan but I have to pay interest on it. The interest money that I will have to pay would actually go to my account itself. It’s just that the system forces you to invest more should you take a loan from your own account (which is currently not accessible practically). Will this type of interest payment (to your own self) be considered as Riba?

I heard that nowadays, girls of marriageable age should have one photo of themselves just in case some boy’s family asks for it with the intention of a marriage. The reason stated was that if you don’t then you won’t get any proposals. Is having a picture taken permissible in this situation?
