Non halal ingredients in Muslim stores

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by ShariahBoard.org
I have seen in many Muslim stores the food items sold is questionable. There are products sold where the ingredients could be doubtful. Customers buys these products everyday without knowing that the ingredients are not halal yet they believe that the products sold in the Muslim stores are completely halal. What are your thoughts to this growing problem?
The prophet peace be upon him said that halal is clear and haram is clear. And in between lies things of doubt. A person should try to save himself from these doubtful things. A person should try to protect himself from selling or buying these things. If someone sells it then we are not going to accuse him rather we would be just quite.
