Is it permissible to get Isthikhara done through a Molvi or a welfare institution? Our grandfather too does Isthikhara and all our relatives get Isthikhara done through him. Is this correct?

Even though it is allowed to get Isthikhara done through a pious person, yet, the preferable and Sunnah way is to make arrangements to get it done by self. It is not necessary that a dream be seen in Isthikhara rather it is sufficient to feel a tendency of doing it or not doing. In case of seeing a dream refer, it to a person who is aware of interpretation of dreams.
