It says in an English translation of the Nural-Idha: ‘One atonement is sufficient for several acts of sexual intercourse done on many days or for several acts of voluntary eating done on many days – even though these days are days of Ramadan of two different years – and if no atonement has intervened between these several times of sexual intercourse or between several times of voluntary eating.’
Q1. Is this the dominant opinion?
Yes. Note however, that this is a punitive expiation for fasts inexcusably missed. This expiation does not fulfill the need to make up every single fast missed in the past, whether with or without an excuse.
Note, too, that “Salvation of the Soul” is a very unreliable translation, with gross inaccuracies and blatant mistakes, as many scholars, including the esteemed Umm Sahl (Ustadha Besa Krasniqi, wife of Shaykh Nuh Keller) have mentioned. As such, it is not permitted to rely on this work for one’s fiqh.
Abdullah Ibn Mubarak and others said,
“This matter is your deen, so be careful where you take your deen from.”
Q) Could you give the commentary of this from the ‘Maraqi’ and notes of Tahtawi (r), and please could you also include on the same issues from the hashiya of Ibn Abideen (r)

Q) If this opinion is correct could one atonement effect all the corrupted fasts, spread out in twenty different Ramadan’s?
It is sufficient as a punitive expiation for all those fasts. You must still make up all missed or corrupted fasts.
