1. It is Makruh Tahrimee(Close to Haraam-Forbidden) to use utensils of gold or silver. (Raddul Muhtaar Vol.6 Pg.341 ,Fatawa Walwaalajiyyah Vol.2 Pg.325 , Al-Muheetul Burhani vol.6 Pg.82 , Fatawa Siraajiyya Pg.75,Imdaadul Fatawa Vol.4 Pg.128)
2.Yes, It is Nabi (Salallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) who directed women to perform salah in the manner they are performing.
There are many Ahadith to this effect amongst them the following narration:
Yazîd Ibn Abî Habîb states that Rasûlullâh uhallallaS( ialAhi WASallam) passed by two women who were performing their salâh. He said to them, “When you prostrate (go into sajdah), then make parts of your body touch the ground because a woman is unlike a man in these aspects. Narrated by Abu Dawud in his Maraseel Pg.118-Muassasatur Risalah. Shaikh Shuaib Arnaoot classified all the narraters as reliable.
This hadith clearly shows that the salah of women is different from the salah of men.
There are numerous narration from many Sahaba and Tabieen(RA) showing the exact method of salah for a women.
