Is it good to make my daughter a Hafidha & is this action of writing on the Ka’bah authentic?

2 Questions to be asked

Q 1) Is it good to make my daughter a Hafiza of Quraan as her Quran Teacher (Our Masjid Imam) is saying she is very good in memorizing it. Some people, good in faith, says it is not in favor of a girl to make her hafiza as after getting married she will not have sufficient time to revise it and if she forgets because of her other duties then she will bear punishment from Allah. Please advise..

Q 2 ) I went for Umrah few days ago (by the grace of Allah). Some people in my masjid said that they heard from Ulemas that wrting the 85th Aya of Surah Qassas on the wall of Kaabah with the finger while taking there names, Allah will call them again and again for Umrah.

 إِنَّ ٱلَّذِى فَرَضَ عَلَيۡكَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ لَرَآدُّكَ إِلَىٰ مَعَادٍ۬‌ۚ

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Answer 1:

There are innumerous virtues that have been elaborated in the Ahadith about being a Hafidh/Hafidha and for their parents.

Nabi ﷺ has mentioned:

Translation:

“Whoever recites the Qur’an and memorises it, and regards what it makes lawful as lawful, and its unlawful as forbidden, will be admitted to Jannah (paradise) by Allah. Allah Ta’āla will also accept his intercession in respect of ten of his family members on whom the fire of hell was binding.” [Tirmidhi] [1]

In another Hadith Nabi ﷺ mentioned:

منْ قَرأ القرآن وعَمِلَ بما فيه، ألبِسَ والداه تاجاً يَومَ القيامة ضوؤه أحسنُ مِن ضوءِ الشَّمسِ في بيوتِ الدنيا لو كانت فيكم، فما ظَنُّكم بالذي عَمِلَ بهذا؟

Translation:

“Whosoever memorizes the Qur’an and acts according to its dictates, his parents will be made to wear a crown on the day of Qiyaamah (Judgment).  The brightness of which will be more intense than the brightness of the sun in your actual house. (If his parents reward is this)So what do you think of the person who acts according to it?” [Abu-Daud][2]

Keeping in mind the virtues, if Allah has blessed you with this child who is able to memorize the Qur’an, it is your and her good fortune. Make her a Hafidha if she desires to be one.

Indeed it is worrisome for one to forget the Qur’an after having memorized it. However, this should not stop one from memorizing the Qur’an and hence depriving oneself from such great virtue. A woman can take out time to revise it even though she is married. Any husband would allow her to take out time to revise.

Answer 2:

May Allah accept your Umrah and take you there again and again. Aameen.

We are unable to locate the method stated from the Ahadith. However, these things are said by our pious elders out of experience. We should have faith in Allah Ta’āla, hope and make duaa (supplicate) that Allah calls us to His House again and again.

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
