Reciting Ya Basiru and Ya Nuru

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by HadithAnswers.com

Question

I have read somewhere if you touch your right hand on the heart and read Ya Basiru and Ya Nuru, it will help you to sleep well and protect against heart diseases.

Is this an authentic narration and not an innovation?

Answer

I have not come across this in any Hadith. This seems to be based on experience of the pious.

There is no harm in practising on this as long as long as a person does not deem it Sunnah. It will be regarded to be an innovation if it is deemed to be sourced from Hadith.
