Please provide the reference and authenticity of the narration wherein Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said to Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (radiyallahu ‘anhu) ‘You will be my companion at the pond of Kawthar’

Answer

Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said to Abu Bakr (radiyallahu ‘anhu):

“You will be my companion at the pond [of Kawthar] and were my companion in the cave (during Hijrah)”

(Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 3670)

Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah) has declared the Hadith authentic (hasanun sahih)

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
