Shima, the foster sister of Rasulullah (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam)

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by HadithAnswers.com

Is this incident true?

Shima, the daughter of Halima Sa’diyyah, went to Madinah Tayyibah to meet Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) where He (sallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) treated her well and she accepted Islam and was a means of Hidaayat for others

Answer

This has been quoted in the reliable sources of sirah and books on the biographies of the Sahabah (radiyallahu’anhum) and is therefore suitable to quote.

These versions mention that she was captured unknowingly and brought to Rasulullah (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) at Ji’irranah not Madinah Munawwarah.

However, I could not locate the underlined part in your question.
