I have committed a major sin many months ago,and now I am regretting it for more than 2 months now.I had emitted maniy, went to washroom urinated didn’t cleaned myself properly, slept on the bed, next day I performed ghusl.but am sure that the Impurity has transferred on to the bed and the bedsheet was not washed for many days after that,as it was impossible for me to wash that in front of my parents,as they would have known my sin.and there were many days I slept on it,stepped onto it with wet feet, wet hands, knowingly or unknowingly,my family members stepped onto it unknowingly with wet hands or wet feet. Then I have moved here and there around the house, sat here and there around the house, same goes for my family members.now Its just impossible to clean whole house.i regret my action in the past, and now am guilty about this and am repenting every day .will my prayers a and and my family members prayers would not be accepted?? And it’s just impossible to disclose my sin to them and will my repenntence be not accepted??

Answer

Wa’alaykum as Salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,

Alhamdulillah, you have realized your error and you are making constant Tawba and truly regretting. Definitely, Allah will forgive you.

When a person ejaculates, he should try to make Ghusl as soon as possible. By remaining in an impure state, then angels stay away, and it is easy for evil Jinn to then interfere.

Furthermore, when visiting the washroom, it is essential to wash oneself correctly. It is a very simple process (just wiping and washing thrice), and it will save you from so much doubts.

You mention that you “sure that the Impurity has transferred on to the bed and the bedsheet”. How can you be so sure? We understand that this is just Waswasah.

If you know where the impurity transferred to, you simply have to wash that portion.

If the sperm have dried, and you do not have evidence that it transferred to other objects, then everything else is clean. Do not worry about it at all.

Insha Allah, all your prayers and the prayers of your family will be valid.

And Allaah Ta’aala knows best

Wassalaam,

Ismail Moosa (Mufti)
