Assalamualykum my ustaad is molana qari and hafiz and he told me to give one of my friends number to him but my friend told me not to give it to him and tell him he changed it should I lie to my ustaad or should I listen to him but break my friends trust
Answer
Wa ʿAlaykumus Salām Wa Raḥmatullāhi Wa Brakātuh
You may politely request your teacher to ask your friend for his number directly. If this is not possible, then you may mention to your teacher that you are unable to provide his contact details.
If you are prompted to, then you may present an excuse that is true but at the same time does not create any tension. However, lies must not be told.
