Please verify the authenticity of this Hadith.
Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:
“A believing man should not hate a believing woman; if he dislikes one of her characteristics, he will be pleased with another”
Answer:
Imam Muslim (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith in his Sahih, on the authority of Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu). The Hadith is therefore authentic.
(Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1469)
This Hadith indicates that every person has faults. If a man is looking for a spouse without any faults, he will be without a partner. A person should therefore acknowledge and show regard for the good qualities and overlook the faults.
