Games and wasting time

What is the ruling on chess and games of dice like Ludo?

If it is prohibited simply because of the reason of waisting time then according to this reasoning most other games would also be prohibited. Many people when they play games simply want to relax for some time and have some Halal entertainment.

So then why is it that chess and such games are prohibited. And also, why shouldn’t we take into consideration ‘Umoom ul-Balwaa in this case? These games like chess, Ludo and video games etc. have become so widespread in the Ummah nowadays and some sort of game/entertainment is in most Muslim households. Wouldn’t the Shari’a become a bit less strict in this case?

As long as there is nothing Haram in the game like gambling (which some argue is the reason games like chess were prohibited) then why would they still be prohibitively disliked?

Jazakumullahu Khairan.

Trousers below ankles

Slms.
Is wearing trousers/jeans below the ankles so serious that allah will not look at us on the day judgment with mercy as the hadiths indicate. Or is there some leway on the issue as today its not seen as having pride to wear clothes below the ankles as was in early generations. Please can u reply as I’m extremely worried. Jzzk.

Could you please explain these two schools in detail as well as their adherents and the differences between them? Does one need to follow a specific school?

The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) with Women, Children, and Orphans

I want to prepare a concise piece of literature for our annual” Mawlid for the women”, on the life of the Prophet(saw) and his relation to females of the family and the non-family members.I wish to highlight the beauty of his(saw) character and his immense campassion to those weak elements of society (including oorphans) and his advocation to their good treatment and the giving of their rights.

Many in my community only contemplate on his (saw) life in the capacity of a Messenger of Allah(swt) and have scant knowledge of his character in the capacity of an intimate campanion, a loving father and an advocater of the rights of the oppressed and vulnerable.
