Who were Harut & Marut ? Where are they now ?
Quran describes that Haroot and Maroot are two different angels and were sent down to earth to test people with the education and coaching of magic. They would advice people when the people came to them that the magic they knew was not recommended for the people to learn but if the people insisted they would not refuse it. So, in this fashion their story is mentioned in the Holy Quran. Currently where they are, no knowledge.
