My friend has physical difficulty with keeping her legs together when in Sajdah and in the sitting position. Will her prayer be accepted or is it invalid?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Wa Alaykum Assalam wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuhu,

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful & Compassionate

Allah has made Islam easy, and does not burden us with more than we are able.

Allah tells us in the Qur’an,

“Allah tasks not a soul beyond its scope.” [Qur’an, 2.286]

The sitting and sajdah positions mentioned in the answers below are the sunnah way and thus optimal. One should sit as close to the Sunnah as reasonably possible. If one cannot easily do this, then one should do what they can comfortably, and one does not lose out in reward nor fall into impropriety.

Wassalam,
