If one person in the family is giving qurbani do the other family members have to do qurbani as well ?
In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful and Compassionate
It is mentioned in Quduri as follows:
Sacrifice is wajib upon every Muslim who is a resident and owner of nisab; the minimum that necessitates sadaqa al-fitr, on the day of Sacrifice
(Allama Ahmad Quduri, Al Lubab Fi Sharh al-Kitab pg 98)
It is wajib to sacrifice an animal if if one is the owner of nisab; the minimum that necessitates zakat. It is not the obligation of one member of the family, but whoever possesses the nisab during the three days of sacrifice will have to fulfill this obligation.
So women too have to fulfill the the sacrifice if they are the owner of nisab. If they have no money, but possess sufficient gold and silver then they should take the money from their husbands for discharging the obligation or the husband can sacrifice on her behalf with their permission and the sacrifice will be discharged.
And Allah Knows Best
