How Should I Make Sajdah?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Mahmoodiyah

Question:

I am 8 months pregnant and unable to go into Sajdah.  I just wanted to know what is the correct way of sitting and reading Namaaz.  I’m not sure where to position my hands.
Salaams

Answer:

If a person is not able to stand, bend in Ruku and prostrate, and is able to sit, then that person should sit to perform the Salaat and make Ishaarah (indication) for the positions that he is not able to carry out in its original form. For Ruku, the head will be slightly bent and for Sajdah, the head will be bent more than the bending in Ruku’; so that the Ruku is different from the Sajdah. If the Ruku and Sajdah is the same then the Salaah will not be correct. In Ruku the hands should be placed on the thighs.
