When should the supplication be said before sexual intercourse in a marriage?

I want to ask you something about the supplication before a husband and a wife make love to each other. Must that supplication be read just before intercourse? Or, is it read at the time of foreplay between the husband and wife before intercourse?

The supplication must be recited when one goes to his wife with the intention of having intercourse with her.
