Abud Darda’s (radiyallahu ‘anhu) advise to his spouse

Could you mention the reference for this?

Sayyiduna Abud Darda (radiyallahu ‘anhu) told his wife Ummud Darda, “If I become angry then try to please me. If you become angry I will [say things that will] please you. Were we not to act this way, how quickly would we be separated!”

Answer:

Imam Ibn Hibban (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration in his book ‘Rawdatul ‘Uqala.

(Rawdatul ‘Uqala, pg. 72, Tarikh Dimashq, vol. 70 pg. 152)

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
