Reference for a narration in Sahih Muslim

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by HadithAnswers.com

I heard an audio clip in which a Hadith is mentioned, the reference being the end of Sahih Muslim, however I’ve been unable to find the exact reference for it.

Can you please give the reference and authentication for it?

‘Man shahidah ‘alla ilaha illallah, wa anna Muhammadan ‘abduhu wa rasuluhu, wa anna ‘Isa ‘abdullahi wabnu…”

Jazakallah khayran.

Answer

You are probably referring to the following Hadith:

Translation

Whoever says I testify that there is none worthy of worship but Allah who is alone without any partner, that Muhammad is His messenger, that ‘Isa is His slave, the son of Allah’s slave and his command which he passed to Maryam and His mercy. [He also testifies] that Jannah and Jahannam are true, will enter Jannah from any of its eight doors.’

(Sahih Muslim, Kitabul Iman Hadith: 139)

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best,
