Can men wear rings where the silver is more than 4.86g

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by DarulIftaBirmingham

Can men wear rings where the silver is more than 4.86g.

In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful.

Answer

Men are only permitted to wear silver rings, which weigh less than 4.86 grams. (Ahsanul Fatawa p.69 v.8)

Therefore, in the Hanafi Madhab it will be considered Makruh Tahrimi to wear such a ring, which is more than 4.86 grams. (Fatawa Hindiyyah p.335 v.5)
