Long time ago, at the time of fasting during Ramadan me & my wife were fondling each other. I remember that we were doing sex-related activities but we are not sure whether our private parts came into contact with each other to the extent of classifying as sexual intercourse. But I remember that I ejaculated outside. I am aware that the fast is broken due to ejaculation. What I want to know is will there be a kaffarah on both of us, as we are not sure about the contact of our private parts.

If the glans of man’s penis enters into the vagina of woman then kaffarah shall also be wajib otherwise only qaza shall be wajib.
When you are not sure about the contact of the organ then there is no question of entering the glans?
