My husband earns money by gambling – poker and bets. Can I use his money on me and my child? Can I pay his money for maid? Maid also worries will be salary halal?
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
Gambling is haraam and a major sin. The earnings through gambling is also haraam. The wife should convince her husband to leave haraam earnings and look for a lawful job. If he does not resist and the wife has no alternate income, then it will be permissible for her and the maid to take from her husband’s money. The sin of using gambling money will be on the husband[1]

حرام مال تو حرام ہی ہے،ایسی صورت میں کو کوشش کرنی چاہۓ کے اسے کسی حلال ذرریعہ سے آمدنی حاصل ہو جاۓ،نیز بیتے کو حرام کمائی کے بجاۓ حلال کمائی پر آمادہ کرنا بھی اس کے ذمے واجب ہے۔اور جب تک انتظام نہہو،توبہ اور استغفار کرتی رہے اور حلا کی فکر اور کوشش جاری رکھے
