If Someone Does Modelling but They Don’t Cover Their Awrah and They Make Money

Question

If someone does modelling but they don’t cover their awrah and they make money, would that money be considered haraam?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

It would still be considered haraam for a person to make money by modelling and not covering their Awrah. The Messenger of Allah (saw) was asked, “O Messenger of Allah! Regarding our Awrah, what part of it must we cover and what part of it may we leave? He (saw) said: “Protect your Awrah from everyone except your wife or what your right hand possesses.”.[1]

Therefore, it is not permissible to expose one’s Awrah except with their spouse and if modelling exposes a person’s Awrah, then modelling will also be not permissible.
