Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Fatwaa.com

Assalumalaykum mufti saab hope you are well
I am a atudent of knowldedge (talib e ilm). And i make a lot of supplications and invocations that are being answered which has lead me to spending too much time supplicating and so it has affected my sleep and other things. So how often ahould i supplicate and what are the best supplications to make jazak’Allah.

Answer

Wa’alaykum as Salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,

Alhamdullillah, Allah is accepting all your supplications. We request that you please make Dua for us too.

The best is to make Dua at the time of Tahajjud. So wake up about an hour before the time of Fajr sets in, pray eight Rakats Tahajjud, and then make Dua.

Try to go early for your Fardh prayers, and after praying the Sunnats, make Dua before the Iqamah.

Make Duas after every Fardh prayer as well.

The best is to make the Duas of Quran and Hadith. Refer to Munaajaat Maqbool and Al-Hizb al-Adham and learn the Duas from there. Say them in your own language, and also learn to say them in Arabic.

And Allaah Ta’aala knows best

Wassalaam,
