ASALAMUALAIKUM
i love someone who live in another country but whenever i talk with him on phone i got fluid discharge even though we dont have sexual conversation. Just he tell me he love me nothing in desire.
Do my ghusal and my fast break?
Answer
Wa’alaykum as Salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,
Firstly, we need to remind you that it is not permissible to keep any contact with a strange man, even if you love him. Allah says in the Qur’an,
ولا تقربوا الزنا إنه كان فاحشة وساء سبيلا
“And do not come near to adultery: for it is a shameful (deed) and an evil, opening the road (to other evils)” (Surah al-Israa V 32).
When fasting, we have to exercise more caution to stay away from that which is prohibited, less we loose all the rewards. In a narration of Sahib Ibn Khuzaima, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said,
عن أبي هريرة قال:قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم:ليس الصيام من الأكل و الشرب إنما الصيام من اللغو و الرفث (ابن خزيمة – 3/ 242)
(Fasting is not just from food and drink. Rather, fasting is also from idle and immodest actions.” (Sahih Ibn Khuzaimah, 3/242)
As for the discharge, it will not nullify your Ghusl or your fast. It will only break your Wudhu, and you need to wash of that impurity from your body and garments. The rewards of the fast will also be lost.
The fast and Ghusl will only break if you ejaculate.
