Discharge

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by FatwaCentre.org
Question

I have regular discharge on a day to day basis which is usually a pale/light yellow. During my haydh, the discharge in the beginning and end is more on the brown/dark yellow side.
Therefore, I wanted to ask, the yellow pale discharge that I experience on a day to day basis, that would be considered as my tuhr period rather than menstruation?

Answer

In the name of Allah, the Inspirer of truth

The light-yellow discharge which you see during your days of purity will not be considered menstruation (hayd). However, when this discharge becomes a darker shade, this will mark the start of hayd. Similarly, when it returns to the regular light-yellow you see in your purity days, it will signify the end of hayd.
