Is this the right Qunoot-e-Hasan. (Please recite once for me, so that I know how to pronounce it clearly) “Allaahumma ihdini feeman hadayta wa ‘aafini feeman ‘aafayta wa tawallani feeman tawallayta wa baarik li feema a’tayta, wa qini sharra ma qadayta , fa innaka taqdi wa la yuqda ‘alayk, wa innahu laa yadhillu man waalayta wa laa ya’izzu man ‘aadayta, tabaarakta Rabbana wa ta’aalayta la munji minka illa ilayk”

Could you please advise us what method of salat time calculation should be taken for Muslims in Minnesota. Majority of Muslim here follow ISNA salat time for Isha and Fajar, which is 15 degree. According to the fatwa of Mufti Taqi Usmani, we follow 18 degree for both Isha and Fajar. If we follow 18 degree for Isha and fajar then Isha enters at 11:34pm (July 1st,2004) and Fajar starts at 2:59am (July 1st, 2004). Should we continue with 18 degree or follow ISNA method of 15 degree?

I consider myself as a Deobandi and follow the ulamaa of Deoband. I also know that the work commonly known as “tableeghi Jamaat” is started by a great sufi of Deoband. I go in the jamaat also but rarely, my question is (1)Why do some tableeghi brothers insist on saying that “Daawah” is more important than “Ibaadah”. Isn’t it true that Dawaah is a part if Ibaadah and not the opposite. (2)They keep saying that the only reason we were created is to do Dawaah, isn’t it a fact that we are not only created for dawaah but also for all the Ibaadaas put together. (3) I have met a few tableeghi brothers who were of the opinion that in this day and age it is a farz-e-ain (not farz-e-kifaaya) to work in the tableeghi jamaat.

My husband says you can make Isha Salaat early before it comes in I disagree with this. Is he correct or is he deviating from the truth. He can’t show me proof. I have always been taught that you do pray at a set time.

I have seen some people performing Salaat in a very strange manner, they spread their legs out as wide as possible and stick their elbows straight out as if they are performing some sort of physical exercise for some kind of sport, is it allowed to spread your legs out totally in Salaat and join your toes with the toes of the people next to you and join your elbow with the elbows of the people next to you?

It was a pleasure to listen to your answers and I consider it an honor to have the opportunity to correspond with you for two very special reasons – firstly, I also happen to be from Hyderabad-Deccan and secondly, as a little boy, I have had the honor of attending two of Hazrat Abul Wafa (RA) Sahebs sessions. As it is widely known, he was considered as the Abu Hanifa of our times. There was one particular question on which I would still need your clarification, please. The question is quoted below: (Q52) If someone didn’t pray isha with jamaat would this person be allowed to pray witr with jamaat or should he pray alone?

How do you pray Salaat ul Janaza according to Hanafi fiqh?

Shaykh Navalur RahmanRead

If we miss salat while in travel and when we reach out home do we have to pray kasr (2 rakat) or do we have to pray whole rakat. For eg. If we miss zohar salat in traveling, and we reach home do we have to pray 4 rakt or 2 rakat kasr. Second question is if we are praying 3 or 4 rakat farj or sunnat and if we forget to sit in attahiyat and pray 3rd rakat without sitting, do we have to make sajdae-e-suhud.
