There is a musalla in zaiqa restaurant. There is no set imam but there is set jamat timings. 1) Can we make second jamat in Zaiqa after the first jamat namaz is over? I don’t make second jamat when the first one is over at any masjid. 2) And if jamat time is at 6:30pm and we have to go to work or travel, then can we make jamat in the masjid before like at 6:00pm. And I notice that a lot of people come late to the saturday ijtema at masjid noor and make second jamat downstairs, and I have seen 3 to 4 second jamat take place at a time. 3)Can I stop the people from making second jamat if it does not cause fitna?
If there is a place that is not a mosque, there is no specific imam or mua’ddhin then people can make their own congregations. Like you said about Zaiqa restaurant where you can do more than one jamat. If somebody has to go on a journey then he should pray somewhere besides the ‘musalla’ with his jamat, that would be allowed. But if someone has already performed jamat than the second jamat would not be allowed. If this situation takes place in a mosque then one should conduct the prayer in congregation in the outside area of the mosque not in the inside area.
