    I am looking to buy house. I was told that there are a few bank/financial corporations that offer Islamic Financing. They are: Devon Bank http://www.devonbank.com/popup/Islamic_overview.htm Guidance Financial http://www.guidancefinancial.com/ They provide a rent-to-own option. My concern is that they calculate the rent based on the current interest rates that are set by the Federal Government. As a matter of fact, their rates are higher than a conventional bank. So is it ok get a loan through Guidance or Devon, even though they charging rent based on the current interest rate. Plus they are charging a higher rate than the regular banks. So then what’s the difference between getting a long through Guidance/Devon versus getting a loan from a regular bank. Your input on this will be truly appreciated.

    What is the shariah ruling about voting in elections for those people who are Muslim citizens in U.S. and Canada. Should we refrain from voting because all parties this way or the other have un-Islamic agendas and many Muslims think that they’ll possibly be supporting haram activities from the parties therefore its best not to vote. Secondly is there any guideline from the elders in Tabligh about this issue?

    I consider myself as a Deobandi and follow the ulamaa of Deoband. I also know that the work commonly known as “tableeghi Jamaat” is started by a great sufi of Deoband. I go in the jamaat also but rarely, my question is (1)Why do some tableeghi brothers insist on saying that “Daawah” is more important than “Ibaadah”. Isn’t it true that Dawaah is a part if Ibaadah and not the opposite. (2)They keep saying that the only reason we were created is to do Dawaah, isn’t it a fact that we are not only created for dawaah but also for all the Ibaadaas put together. (3) I have met a few tableeghi brothers who were of the opinion that in this day and age it is a farz-e-ain (not farz-e-kifaaya) to work in the tableeghi jamaat.

    I live in Chicago but make Juma salaat in a masjid in Schaumburg due to my job. They have different Imams come in and lead the salaat every week that I go. One of the Imams gives the Khutba in English. Please give your take on the validity of the Juma salaat in this case.

    Please tell me the lughvi and istelaahi meanings of the words “abdaal” and “qalandar” , because I did not understand their meaning in feroz-ul-lughaat. My second question is I would like to know if there are any books written by Mufti Muhammad Hasan Sahab Amritsari khaleefa of Hazrat Hakeem-ul-ummat (rahimahumullah). And the last question is I know that Maulana Manaazir Ahsan Geelaani (RA) was a mureed of Hazrat Hakeem-ul-ummat (RA) but after the demise of his peer who did Hazrat Geelaani approached for islaahi taaluq and did he get khilaafat from sombody.

    Mujhe yeh poochana hai ke agar koi ladka ladki 2 balig boys aur 2 balig girls ke sammne nikkah karte hain aur aik doosre ko qabool karte hain aur haqq mahar bhi taee karte hain to aisee surat min nikkaah ho jata hai aur woh gawah jo hain un ke cousins hain.
