Can we pray salaat after 10 days of having baby (period stoped)

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by ShariahBoard.org
After 10 days having a baby, my period stopped not knowing whether to have a bath and start the daily prayers, I searched the Bahashti Zewar to see what it says. In it, it says that there is no minimum time limit and if the periods stops right after childbirth, namaz is compulsory even then. So after 10 days, I did likewise.. but then I realized my periods started again after 2 days, then stopped and then a day or 2 it started again continuously until the 40th day… In that period of time I think I had a total of around 6 baths or more. Others say that I shouldn’t have done that as we need to wait for 40 days and that after childbirth, it is always like that…. but dear alim… think about it… the only reason i had a bath was because it was completely clear and once it was even clear for around 2 days … and because of the fear of getting the namaaz kazaa, I thought my decision was right….please advice me whether the decision made was right. And apart from that, after having a bath before those 40 days, I had an intercourse with my husband…will I be taken account for that? Will I be Punished by Allah for that…? Please advice so that I may not make such a mistake again….
The condition you are in, there is nothing wrong with it InshaAllah and there is no punishment. The decision taken the first time was accurate. After ten days consider yourself clean and if you bleed after another two days then we don’t know your condition. So, you can shower and pray and there is no sin in it.
