So many serious issues happening against the Muslims…..time to come together as one Ummah

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by ShariahBoard.org
With so many serious issues happening against the Muslims, don’t you think it’s about time we stopped in-fighting about leading Salaat wearing pants, and with a shorter beard. Shouldn’t we ignore these issues and come together as one Ummah, united? We either fight about Madhab – Hanafi/Shafaii/etc., or Aqeedah Sufi/Salafi/etc. What happened to Ikram-al-Muslimeen, the Muslim brotherhood? It’s about time we became more accommodating about the difference in opinion. Differences in opinions existed even between the Sahabis. Allah s.w.t. knows if people are not following all his command intentionally or un-intentionally. We should leave the judging to him, and do our best, NOT get stuck and waste time in the finger-pointing mode. One Imam does something different we want to stop going to that Masjid, and open another ‘one-half-brick’ Masjid of our own. This is our specialty, breaking into smaller and smaller sects. We don’t never appreciate his 99 good habits. Don’t even respect the fact that even though his beard is shorter than a fist, but he has lot more knowledge about the Deen than most of us. It is quite important that you address this issue
It’s one thing for the Ummah to be one and another to guide this Ummah astray or to critique it when it’s wrong and give the right teachings. The questionnaire is mistaken in thinking that he/she thinks that to discuss in these matters is to cause dissention in the Ummah. What this means is that all the injunctions in Quran to enjoin good and forbid evil and the punishments of this world and hereafter when it’s lacking are meaningless. We have to gather the Ummah and bring it together to follow the deen, hence, it doesn’t matter if its one issue or ten issues of deen, the point is to correct the Ummah whenever there is anything wrong. This is one the main responsibilities of the scholars. Scholars have to say the right things no matter what the conditions are. These things are not going to stop the Ummah from being one. As a matter of fact it has nothing to do with the unanimity of the Ummah. Unanimity means that the issues must be investigated thoroughly removing all the mistakes, guiding to the right path, appreciating the ones who are doing it, and then bringing the Ummah in this fashion to one platform. To bring the Ummah together on the basis of tauheed, risalat, Quran, and the Islamic bond hood through encouragement is one of the main obligations of this Ummah. The person who thinks that notifying the wrong is causing dissention is ignorant.
