I made a big mistake during this holy month of Ramadan. My wife and I were getting intimate and she was touching my private part during the time of fasting (I understand this wrong), so the thing is I’m able to tell when I’m near ejaculation, so my plan was just to tell her to stop once I felt it. The problem is it came a lot faster than I thought, and by the time I warned her, I already had ejaculated, so I unintentionally ejaculated, does this require a make up day, or a 60 day kaffara as well?
Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,
This invalidated your fast, requiring:
a) sincere repentance from this sin (because all sexual relations, even without ejaculation or intercourse, are prohibited during the day in Ramadan, and are yet more sinful when they lead to either ejaculation or intercourse), which would entail:
· Leaving the sin,
· Remorse at sinning,
· Resolve never to return to the sin;
b) making up the fast.
However, because it is not a ‘complete contravention’ (there was no actual intercourse), no expiation (kaffara) would be needed. [Shurunbulali, Maraqi al-Falah]
