Qadha for missed Salaah during haidh

Q: My friends insist that there is qadha for missed Salaah during haidh just like there is qadha for saum. I tried explaining to them that there isn’t but all they say is that I am not learned and the learned have told them. Its reached a stage where they are calculating their missed Salaahs and making qadha of it.

A: A woman does not have to make up for her missed salaah in the state of haidh. It is reported that once a woman questioned Hadhrat Aaisha (Radhiallahu Anha) as to whether a woman should make up for her missed Salaah in the state of haidh. Hadhrat Aaisha (Radhiallahu Anha) asked the woman: “Are you a woman belonging to the clan (of the khawaarij, a deviated sect who were of the opinion women should make up for their missed salaah in the state of haidh) coming from the place named Haroorah?” Hadhrat Aaisha (Radhiallahu Anha) then said that in the time of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) we were not commanded to make up for the missed Salaah in the state of haidh.
