Question:
I read that Prophet Isa (Alayhis Salaam) will marry a woman from one of the Bani Israel tribe. Is it true? If so, What is the name of the tribe?
Another question:
If a child was born out of wedlock, but the parent married after the child’s birth. Do the parents keep the nature of the child’s birth secret, meaning they do not tell people that their child is illegitimate?
Will the child of a rape victim be considered illegitimate?
Answer:
1) The Ahadeeth clearly mention that Hazrat Isaa (A.S.) will marry after descending, (Mishkaat). However, we have not come across any information with regards to his (A.S.) wife’s tribe.
2) The child which was born out of wedlock is regarded as illegitimate according to the Ahadeeth and Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence). Therefore it is not permissible to declare this child as ones own. The true nature of the child can be kept safe by informing the people that the child has been adopted.
The child of a rape victim, if born before six months after marriage will be considered as illegitimate.
