Wearing cap or turban is among the continous Sunnah?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Jamia Binoria

Assalamu Alaikum!
Mufthi Sahib, Is it Sunnath to wear cap or no? Is it Sunnath or Wajib to recite Sana in Namaz? Is it necessary or not to recite Sana in Fardh Namaz?

الجواب حامدا و مصلیا

Wearing cap or turban is among the continous Sunna practice of Holy prophet Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam although he had left it too, on certain occasions as a token sign of permissibility. Therefore it is against the Sunna to perform Namaz without a cap, with no valid Shari excuse or just for laziness etc., and it is necessary to refrain from it and should take care in wearing cap or turban. As for reciting of Sana, it is not Fardh or Wajib but is among the Sunan of Namaz. Therefore one should take care in reciting it in the first Rakaat regardless of Fardh or Sunnath Namaz.
