Is this authentic?
The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Verily, every nation had a trial (fitnah), and the trial of my nation is wealth.”
Answer:
Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith on the authority of Sayyiduna Ka’b ibn ‘Iyad (radiyallahu ‘anhu).
(Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 2336)
He has declared the Hadith authentic (hasanun sahihun gharib).
And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
